GIVE YOUR DENIM A TWIST!

Albiate 1830 gives a sneak preview of the new denim collection for Autumn-Winter 2024-25 at the Kingpins Show, which surprises with its stylistic twist and the sustainable spirit that has always distinguished the brand.

Retwist+ is the starring theme of the collection. It is a circular economy project developed by ALBINI_next in which recycling becomes entirely closed-loop: from denim fabric remnants to a new recycled yarn. 100% cotton denim remnants from past collections have been unravelled and made into fibre. The result is a blend composed of 30% recycled cotton and 70% organic Supima virgin cotton. Using solely denim fabrics has made it possible to obtain an already dyed finished product featuring a pale indigo nuance, thus eliminating the entire dyeing phase and reducing the use of water and resources during the production process. For the new collection, Retwist + is wearing jacquard patterns and workmanship for the first time.

Also included in the collection are the innovative Grounded Indigo fabrics, developed in new designs and patterns, made using a natural dyeing process developed in ALBINI_next, as part of the search for dyeing practices that are more responsible towards people and the environment. Grounded Indigo is a natural indigo derived from the Indigofera suffruticosa plant, cultivated by regenerative farming practices in the regions of Tennessee, Kentucky, and southern Florida (USA). A natural dye with the same performance capabilities as synthetic indigo but originating from plant-based raw materials and through processes that positively impact the climate and environment.

The Coloured Denim trend continues, with evolving coloured denim fabrics that are embellished with tones, designs and patterns. The jacquard theme has been greatly developed, available on different base fabrics and perfect for a uniquely sophisticated look.
