Spring Summer 2027 Collection
Wandering MexicoThe journey of Albiate 1830 continues, this time landing in Mexico: a land of luminous contrasts, vibrant cities and breathtaking natural landscapes, where every street, market and square tells a story of colour, culture and materiality.
From the murals of Mexico City to the markets of Oaxaca, from the colourful façades of San Miguel de Allende to the jungles of Chiapas and the Caribbean beaches, each fabric in the Spring Summer 2027 collection captures a fragment of this extraordinary land.
The collection unfolds across four colour themes, each conceived as a chapter in this Mexican journey.
Desert Dreams
Warm, earthy desert tones take shape on slub cotton and cotton-linen fabrics, with irregular weaves that create movement and depth. From the agave fields of Tequila to the Sierra de Álamos, surfaces breathe like nature itself, while printed and jacquard motifs reinterpret Mayan geometries in a contemporary key.
Urban Rhythms
Inspired by the vibrant architecture of Mexico City – its streets, markets and palm-framed skyscrapers – this theme translates urban life into linen-silk and linen-cotton fabrics featuring jacquard techniques and structured weaves. Printed surfaces evoke leaves, palms and flowers, blending urban modernity with the nature that flows through it.
Murales & Colors
The vivid tones of Mexican cities, from the murals of Pachuca to the colourful façades of Guanajuato, become printed fabrics, slub yarns, checks and madras with a bold character. Bright primary colours engage in daring combinations, bringing energy and movement to summer shirting. Here, colour becomes language – an expression of creativity and joy of living.
Blue Cenotes
The cenotes of the Yucatán Peninsula inspire a reinterpretation of Albiate 1830 denim. Fabrics in linen blends, cotton and lightweight muslins are enhanced by a wide range of techniques, from pinstripe denim to flocked, embroidered and needled effects, as well as seersucker in check patterns. Jacquard and fil coupé add texture and depth, while floral prints capture every shade of blue, from the lightest crystalline tones to the deepest hues.
Wandering Mexico confirms Albiate 1830’s talent for translating cultural and landscape inspirations into vivid, tactile and surprising fabrics – surfaces that tell stories of colour and movement, shaping an authentic experience to be lived on the skin.
